BFST/ATPC9516 Chief Officer is a 60 hour traditional/instructor-led course. This course satisfies part of the requirement for Fire Officer III and Fire Code Administrator certification. This course also provides 60-hours, or CEUs, towards Fire Safety Inspector, Fire Code Administrator and Fire Instructor I, II, and III certificate renewal.

Course Description:
This course will meet the JPR’s of NFPA 1021 Officer III. The course will present the principles of management theory and its application to the fire service. The course will cover topics such as communications, professional development, community and intergovernmental relations, human resources, legal issues, strategic planning, public education, budget and financial issues, and emergency management.
