CERTIFICATION OVERVIEW

The Florida Fire Investigator certification is an advanced training program designed for qualified fire service and public safety professionals who perform fire investigation responsibilities. The program develops the specialized knowledge and skills needed to investigate fire scenes, determine origin and cause, document and preserve evidence, and understand the legal and technical considerations involved in professional fire investigations.

REQUIREMENTS

  • Meet the eligibility requirements by being a certified firefighter, certified law enforcement officer, law enforcement crime scene technician, or certified fire safety inspector.
  • Successfully complete state-approved certification training (the required courses are listed below).
  • Complete the required Florida Fire Investigator Task Book.
  • Submit the required Application for Fire Investigator Certification and supporting documentation through FireTRAQ.
  • Pass the Florida Fire Investigator state written examination with a score of 70% or higher.

Extremely happy with the FFP 1000 Course and that I decided to take it here. Pedro is a great instructor and effectively covered all the material needed to pass the Final Exam with a perfect score.
