Florida Fire Instructor 2 Requirements

For certification as a Fire Instructor 2 in the State of Florida, these are some of the state requirements:

  • Have a minimum of six-years’ experience as a regular member of an organized fire department.
  • Successful completion of the Fire Service Course Design class. (see course below).
  • Documentation of having earned an Associate Degree or higher.
  • Submit the Fire Instructor 2 Application for Certification on FCDICE/FireTRAQ online.
  • Successfully complete the Instructor 2 State Written Examination with a score of 70% or greater.
