CERTIFICATION OVERVIEW

The Fire Safety Inspector 1 certification offers the knowledge and skills required to perform fire prevention inspections, enforce life safety codes, and promote life safety in the community.

This certification is ideal for individuals seeking a career in fire prevention or those looking to advance in the fire service.

REQUIREMENTS

  • Successfully complete 225 hours of state-approved certification training (the required courses are listed below).
  • Pass the Florida State Fire Safety Inspector I certification exam.
  • Submit the required Application for Fire Safety Inspector Certification Examination through FireTRAQ, along with all required supporting documentation, at least 10 business days prior to the scheduled examination.
  • Complete the required fingerprint background process before certification.

Pass State Exam

Pass the 100 question state exam with a 70% or higher.

Become Certified

Receive your Fire Safety Inspector 1 certification.

The Fire Safety Inspector I certification is valid for four (4) years from the date of issuance. To maintain certification, individuals must complete a minimum of 54 hours of approved Continuing Education (CEUs) during each four-year renewal cycle and submit the required renewal application in accordance with Florida Bureau of Fire Standards and Training requirements.

Extremely happy with the FFP 1000 Course and that I decided to take it here. Pedro is a great instructor and effectively covered all the material needed to pass the Final Exam with a perfect score.

They even provide energy drinks and snacks for the students, included in the cost of the class.
