COURSE DESCRIPTION

The purpose of this course is to familiarize students or current inspectors with the Florida Fire Prevention Code which includes NFPA 1 and 101. Students will learn how to research the codes and apply them to inspection activities. Participants will review and calculate occupant loads and learn to navigate the code book.

This course provides 8-hours, or CEU’s, towards Florida Fire Code Administrator, Fire Safety Inspector Levels 1, 2, 3, and Fire Instructor Levels 1, 2, 3 certificate renewal.

Florida Fire Prevention Code Book, eighth edition, is highly recommended in order to have full participation in the session.
