Florida Fire Instructor 3 Requirements

For certification as a Fire Instructor 3 in the State of Florida, these are some of the state requirements:

• Have a minimum of six-years’ experience as a regular member of an organized fire department.
• Successful completion of the required coursework. All courses are offered by Embers Edge and fulfill the curriculum requirement. (see courses below).
• Documentation of having earned an Bachelor’s Degree or higher.
• Submit the Fire Instructor 3 Application for Certification on FCDICE online
• Successfully complete the Instructor 3 State Written Examination with a score of 70% or greater.
