BFST/ATPC1505 Fire Prevention Practices is a 45 Hour in-person course. This course satisfies part of the requirement for Fire Inspector 1 as well as Fire Officer 2. This course also provides 45-hours, or CEU’s, towards Fire Inspector I and Instructor I,II,III certificate renewal.
Fire Prevention Practices Course Description:
The purpose of this course is to place emphasis on fire prevention through inspection, code enforcement, the use of model building and fire prevention codes, including detailed information on the legal, economic, and political aspects of the fire inspection process.

Courses of Interest:
To be certified as a Firesafety Inspector I in the State of Florida, an individual must; meet the requirements of Florida Statute 633.412, successfully complete 225 hours of basic certification training for firesafety inspectors, and pass a state written examination.
