Florida Fire Instructor I Requirements

For certification as a Fire Instructor I in the State of Florida, these are some of the state requirements:

• Have a minimum of six-years’ experience as a regular member of an organized fire department.
• Successful completion of the Fire Service Course Delivery class. This course is offered by Embers Edge and fulfills the course requirement. (see course below)
• Submit the Fire Instructor I Application for Certification on FCDICE online
• Successfully complete the Instructor I State Written Examination with a score of 70% or greater.
