BFST1510/ATPC1510 Codes and Standards is a 45 Hour in-person course. This course satisfies part of the requirement for Fire Inspector 1. This course also provides 45-hours, or CEU’s, towards Fire Inspector I certificate renewal.
Codes and Standards Course Description:
The purpose of this course is to familiarize students or current inspectors with the Florida Fire Prevention Code which includes NFPA 101, NFPA 1, FSS 633 and FAC 69A. Students will learn how to research the codes and apply them to inspection activities.

- Required Book: Florida Fire Prevention Code, (2021) ISBN 978-1-4559-3092-0 Used by FSFC – 2024 Florida Statutes Chapter 633 and Florida Administrative Code 69A and Florida Fire Prevention Code, 8th Edition

Courses of Interest:
To be certified as a Firesafety Inspector I in the State of Florida, an individual must; meet the requirements of Florida Statute 633.412, successfully complete 225 hours of basic certification training for firesafety inspectors, and pass a state written examination.
